Mom, 2 kids killed in two-vehicle crash in northwestern Minn.

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. — A mom and her two children were killed in a car crash Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 3, at an intersection near Minnesota Highway 32 just north of Thief River Falls.

Police said they are still trying to piece together what happened, but they said the mom pulled out in front of an oncoming pickup.

The mom and both her children were ejected from the car.

It's believed they were all buckled, and the kids were in car seats, but the impact was so strong it may have broken the seatbelts.

The teenage driver of the pickup was unharmed.
