Woman injured in one-car crash near Dent
A Tintah woman was injured Thursday when her Suburban left the roadway, vaulted over a driveway approach, and ended up hitting a tree on Highway 108 in Otter Tail County.
Kimberly Marie Phillips, 53, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Perham hospital, then to an unspecified hospital in Fargo, according to the State Patrol.
Phillips was driving a 2002 Chevy Suburban eastbound on Highway 108. The vehicle crossed the lanes and entered the north ditch, hitting a mailbox and then vaulting over a driveway approach. It continued eastbound in the ditch, turned right and crossed the lanes and went into the south ditch where it stopped after striking a tree, according to the State Patrol.
The airbag deployed and she was wearing a seatbelt. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which was reported at 1:01 p.m. on dry pavement in Dora Township.
