Fargo man hurt in Lake Park crash
A Fargo man was injured in a three-vehicle crash in Lake Park on Thursday.
Gregory Bruce Selbo, 67, of Fargo was taken to Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes with non life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The crash occurred when a 2004 Chrysler 200, driven by a 16-year-old Lake Park girl, was southbound on Second Street and came to a stop at Highway 10. She proceeded across and stopped in the median, then waited for several vehicles to pass and proceeded to cross the eastbound lanes of Highway 10.
She did not see the 2001 Volkswagen Cabriolet driven by Selbo, in the right lane, and was struck on the passenger side by Selbo. The Chrysler then collided with a Ford F150 pickup truck, driven by Brady Lee Mattson, 39, of Lake Park, which was stopped at the stop sign facing northbound.
The girl’s name was not released because she has been given a misdemeanor failure to yield citation. Neither of the Lake Park drivers were injured in the crash. All three people involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts and airbags deployed in all three vehicles.
The accident was reported shortly before 5 p.m. on dry pavement. The Becker County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
