Drug charges dismissed against Frazee man
Two felony charges of fifth-degree controlled substance crime have been dismissed in Becker County District Court against Christian Allen Wobig, 24, of Frazee, because he has met all conditions required by the court.
According to court records, at 3:43 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2016, the vehicle he was in was stropped in Frazee for a burned-out left tail light.
The police officer noticed an orange thing sticking out of his shirt pocket and asked about it. Wobig pulled it out and handed it to him, saying it was a "dope pipe." The pipe had white meth residue, and a search of his person turned up six Hydrocodone pain pills, 1.6 grams of meth and a half-gram of hash.
He paid a $1,000 fine, $1,000 in court fees and served 30 days in jail with work release privileges, and successfully completed supervised probation.
On May 3, a district judge found that the conditions laid down by the court had been met and both charges were dismissed.
