Born in 1979 in Sumter, South Carolina, country singer Lee Brice first began writing songs at age 10, and was his high school's talent show winner three years in a row. After playing football for Clemson University, he then moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music.

Brice began co-writing songs for country stars like Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, and his personal idol, Garth Brooks, before signing with Curb Records in 2007. Three years later, he found himself in the country spotlight when his single "Love Like Crazy" stayed on the charts for over a year. The hit single landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Music Year End chart in 2010.

Brice's gold-certified album, "Hard 2 Love," was released in 2012, and produced No. 1 singles "A Woman Like You," and "Hard to Love," as well as the certified gold single, "Parking Lot Party." "I Drive Your Truck," also from the album, earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Country Song in 2014, and won the Academy of Country Music Award for Song of the Year.

In 2014, Brice dropped his third album, "I Don't Dance," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Chart. Album singles, "Drinking Class" and "That Don't Sound Like You" remained chart-toppers into 2015. The title track, "I Don't Dance," became a Top Ten single, and won Single Record of the Year from the Academy of Country Music.
